Two actresses sit in their dressing room, preparing the last details for the rehearsal. Suddenly, a red and a blue puppet are “thrown” into the black square: a closed room, which they cannot escape from. They've forgotten where they come from, they don't know where they go. Lonely and abandoned, they feel lost in an unknown and potentially hostile space. Hidden in the dark, the musical puppetteer pulls the enigmatic threads of destiny, beating the time of fortunes and misfortunes. Proximity obliges the puppets to the meeting with the other, going through desire and refuse, curiosity and aggressivity, attraction and repulsion. The world storms in the small square with its eternal conflicts. The children-puppets seem to have forgotten both their past and their future: is there anything left of their innocence? Are they still able to play together? Two black shadows dance behind them, protective and discrete. Playing forgotten games, singing foreign words with familiar voices, they keep alive the memory of a past, that is maybe not completely lost. Following them, the puppets will forget that the room has four walls, finding together the easy way to fly out. The rehersal is finished; the two actresses leave the playroom together with the musician. Theatre has been the meeting with “an-other”.
