Domenico Mannelli (Musician and actor)

Domenico Mannelli has founded Altamira Studio Teater together with Pierangelo Pompa, when the group worked in Italy with the name Laboratorio di Altamira since 2009. Born in Nettuno (Italy) in 1979 he is composer, arranger, author and songwriter. Graduated in Philosophy, he has studied composition at Fiesole Music School with the M° Khamran Khache and orchestration with the composer Fabrizio Pigliucci. He has participated to the laboratory of musical creation and production of the M° Tony Carnevale and has attended the course for songs composers of the European Center Toscolano, directed by Giulio Rapetti Mogol. He started to work as musician in theatre in 2004 in collaboration with the italian actor Mario Umberto Carosi, producing two performances entirely based on the relationship between live music and artistic gestures: “Il giro e il nodo” and “Quadri di cristallo”. In the frame of Altamira Laboratory he has composed and performed music for the following performances: “Don Giovanni”, “The Last Night”, and “The Garden.”. After moving to Danmark, in the frame of Altamira Studio Teater, beside composing and performing music for all the performances of the group, he's started to take part as an actor both in the performances and the training.
